Aloha & Mahalo
Aloha is an essence of being and means living in harmony with the people and land around you with mercy, sympathy, grace, and kindness and Mahalo is an expression of thanks and gratitude. As I settle in after an amazing week on the island of Hawaii, I am reminded of these two beautiful words and the 3 people I had the pleasure of spending this past week with. Regent, Marcy and Mike helped to make my first full week of retirement full of fun, laughs, friendship and memories and I can’t thank them enough “Mahalo to you my friends”.
If you’ve never been to Hawaii or any of the other Hawaiian Islands, I highly suggest you get them on your list. The spectacular and ever-changing landscape, the crystal blue waters, the wildlife and of course, the amazing Aloha Spirit of the people is something everyone should experience at least once. I could not think of a better place to kick off my retirement and to confirm I had made the right choice. Sending all of you much “maluhia” (peace), “olakino” (health) and “oli’oli” (joy).
