Protect the House

As I sit here on the Sunday morning of my last week (4 days) at US/UKG a flood of memories are streaming though my head. So many things have changed over the past 15 years that I have worked here, but as much as things have changed one thing remains the same; we are all a family whether we still work here or not. This is what has helped me get to where I am today and what I will take with me as I begin this next chapter in my life. Over the years, company founders Scott and Viv always said “Protect the House”, and unless you’ve worked here and experienced that, you might not understand, but I assure you those who did certainly will.

Although “protecting the house” itself is out of my control, protecting the memory of the house is very much within my control, and it’s those memories that I will cherish and look back upon forever. I thank each and every Peep that I’ve had the distinct pleasure and honor to work beside. Your friendship and support means more than you know to me right now. When Viv retired, she gave me a beautiful glass heart with the inscription “Protect The House- Forever and Always – Viv”. My promise is to protect the house even though I may no longer live and work under it’s roof. I promise to share the joy and love that was created there by so many amazing and caring human beings.
